Steve M1ERS,
admin for GB7SF, is pleased to announce that enough funds have been raised
from local interested amateurs to allow the placing of an order with LAM
Communications / Icom UK for the installation initially of 2M D-Star
regenerative node.
GB7SF has
been cleared for use on 145.7375 Mhz and 439.7375 Mhz. and will be
co-located with the current M1ERS/L IRLP/Echolink node
5120 on 434.475 which has good coverage of Sheffield
City.
Steve would
like to thank the five local amateurs who have helped with the purchase of
the Icom Equipment and also a new Dell Server to facilitate Gateway access.
The Group of GB7SF are Planning to install two more Repeater With the Call Sign GB7SN & GB7SH the two Repeaters Will have good coverage to the South and should be good for Mobiles on the M1 M18 & the A1 plus a good coverage to Worksop and Nottingham from GB7SH and from GB7SN to the Chesterfield Area at this time we are hoping to install on GB7SN port B 70cms and GB7SH port B 70cms these two Repeater will be upgraded just as soon as we get the Notice of variation for us to go ahead . All the Admin at GB7SF are working heard to get a Good Network Built up for all Users of D-Star
