GB7SF is a D-Star Repeater Group formed  by Amateur Radio Enthusiasts.  It is situated in the Firth Park area of Sheffield at the QTH of Steve M1ERS, pictured right, and was the first D-Star repeater Group  in the UK hence the call sign GB7SF. GB7SH Fusion, GB7SN DMR Plus GB7SF was the first 2m Repeater in Sheffield.

D-STAR (Digital Smart Technologies for Amateur Radio) is a digital voice and data protocol specification developed as the result of research by the Japan Amateur Radio League to investigate digital technologies for Amateur Radio. While there are other digital on-air technologies being used by amateurs that have come from other services, D-Star is one of the first on-air and -based standards to be widely deployed and sold by a major radio manufacturer that is designed specifically for amateur service use.

GB7SF has been cleared for use on 145.7375 Mhz and 439.7375 Mhz. and is currently co-located with the current M1ERS/L IRLP/Echolink. some times I put the Dv-mega on REF030 c   on 434.500 which has good coverage of Sheffield  in the UK. The group now Runs the
